The ANJO Artistic directors would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everybody who worked hard to submit their auditions. The blindfold audition process was fascinating and really difficult to decide….In some cases, musicians were separated by a single point, which is a testament to the talent and skill of Australia’s young musicians.

To those who missed out…please dont be discouraged! For many who made it into the ANJO program in 2024, this is their second or third attempt…as you grow as a musician, and the older more experienced musicians graduate, your chance of getting in improves too, so please keep working on your craft and try again!

You are welcome to attend the open rehearsals and the concerts in Sydney…keep an eye on the project page and please stay in touch if you would like to check out how we roll in May!

To the successful applicants…the ANJO team will be in touch shortly with the final itinerary and to book your travel. Good news is that the participation is zero cost…ANJO pays for all your travel and accomodation costs for the project, all you need is spending money and your instrument!

Rehearsals will start on May 30 in Sydney and the Concert is June 2 at the Sydney Con Jazz Festival.

ABC Jazz will be recording and broadcasting the performance with Remy Le Boeuf…more info to come!
